INTRODUCTION

The SSBMT Hematology Research Award has been approved by the SSBMT Board in its meeting of 28 September 2018. It reflects the SSBMT commitment towards the support and enhancement of scientific research and development in the field of hematology and stem cell transplantation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

OBJECTIVES

1. To encourage representation and appearance of KSA at international scientific meetings at a competitive level
2. Enhance hematology research in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
3. To emphasize the SSBMT commitment to establish medical research culture in KSA
4. Recognize highly performing researchers in the field of hematology

NATURE OF THE AWARD

The SSBMT Hematology Research Award may be given to a qualified researcher (first author or his/her designee) based on a Committee selection in each of the following disciplines: (One award per discipline)

• Clinical Hematology
• Hematopathology
• Basic research with direct impact on Hematology
• Stem Cell Transplantation
• Hematology Nursing
